Forgive me, I am a bit behind in posting this. Alvin and I have retired from ministry. It is a much bigger thing than that, and to get a fuller answer, perhaps look at some previous posts. As well if you wish, you can go to my personal blog (Joy's) to read about our journey this past year. And why we are choosing to close the ministry now. We are also still hoping to sell our house, and if I am honest, I was hoping that we could say something like we have retired, but someone else has bought our house and chosen to do ministry too. But so far, that is not the case. Believe me we will tell you when if and when that happens.
In the meantime, Alvin and I are planning to spend more time with our family, and most likely in hockey rinks and perhaps a dance studio. What we know right now is that our almost 13 years of ministry has been such a big blessing. And regardless of when we "finished" it still carries some sadness.

In the meantime, know that I still believe that retreat life is important! I hope that you can plan your own retreat somewhere - I have a couple places I could let you know of if you email me above.
